Has it really come to this? My beautiful daughter has graduated from homeschool. I won’t be sappy and sentimental for fear I will breakdown and cry while writing this post. 🙁
But this past weekend, my lovely Olivia, along with two other home educated friends celebrated their “release” from school — that is, until college this fall. <sigh>
Below are Olivia (l), Hannah (c), and Savannah (r). Beautiful and godly young women.
Each girl performed a couple of pieces (classical piano, songs, speeches, etc.) for family and friends that gathered to honor their accomplishments. It was a wonderful ceremony!
As you can see, they are happy to be free!
The graduation was on Saturday, then Sunday was Mother’s Day, which we celebrated with my mom, my sister, and my niece. It was also my great-niece’s birthday. So we were very festive! Here’s a picture to prove it:
There’s just something so sexy about a man in a Hello Kitty party hat! 😉
Not much homeschooling going on, except tying up loose ends and getting ready for summer break…
On Wednesday night, my family attended the midnight showing of Star Trek Into Darkness (yes, we know we’re geeks) and it was amazing!
We can’t wait to see it again, but now it’s time to get serious, pack up my husband, and send him out of the country — again. He will be ministering in several churches and pastors’ conferences in Panama.
But he won’t be wearing the Hello Kitty party hat!
