God has given us anointed prayers in His Word which we can pray over ourselves and others and be assured of getting results. The Holy Spirit inspired the Apostle Paul and others to pray certain prayers that are recorded in the New Testament. Use them as a pattern for your own prayers.
I have included a few of these prayers below. To pray them for yourself and others, simply insert your name or the name of the person you are praying for in the blanks. You will see amazing results!
- Ephesians 1:17-20 (NLT) I ask God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give __________________ spiritual wisdom and insight so that (I/he/she) might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that (my/his/her) hearts will be flooded with light so that (I/he/she) can understand the confident hope He has given to those He called — His holy people who are His rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that (I/he/she) will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.
- Ephesians 3:14-20 (NIV) For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen __________________ with power through his Spirit in (my/his/her) inner being, so that Christ may dwell in (my/his/her) hearts through faith. And I pray that (I/he/she), being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that (I/he/she) may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
- Philippians 1:9-11 (NKJ) And this I pray, that __________________ love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that (I/he/she) may approve the things that are excellent, that (I/he/she) may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
- Colossians 1:9-11 (AMP) For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for __________________, asking that (I/he/she) may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things – That (I/he/she) may walk, live and conduct (myself/himself/herself) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition]. I pray that (I/he/she) may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, to exercise every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy.
