Cultivate Your Soul

You are more than just a spirit living in a physical body – you also have a soul.  And cultivating your soul is important if you want to live an abundant and satisfying life.

Cultivating your soul is about beauty. It’s about nourishing the many different facets that make up your soul – your intellect, your emotions, your need to create or express your individuality, etc.  It’s about enjoying some of the simple (or finer) things in life, whether it be art, music, the beauty of God’s creation, literature and poetry, writing, crafting, baking, decorating, and on and on!

Rev. Billy Graham said, “Women need time to cultivate their souls that, in turn, they may cultivate their children’s lives.”

If your soul is dry, then you have nothing to offer your husband, children, family or friends. It is of utmost importance that you, as a woman, learn cultivate it with things you love — things that breathe life into your soul.

What feeds and nourishes your soul?  What gives you a deep sense of satisfaction– filling your heart to the brim, then overflowing it? Whatever those things may be, you should try to incorporate them into your life each day. You will be so glad you did!
